Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 230 scouts in Brunei Muara District are currently taking time off from their term break to participate in Brunei Muara Scout Camp in Kg Beribi.

According to Awg Hj Majid, the Acting Scout Commissioner of Brunei Muara District, the aim of the camp is to build survival skill and friendship between scout members. He added, “The participants comprise eleven teams from various secondary schools within the district."

The three-day camping event is filled with activities such as building tents, flying fox, night marching, obstacle course, orientering, outdoor games and emergency and rescue activities.

All activities are designed to fulfill the campaign objectives. For example, night marching helps build trust and teamwork among participants by walking blindfolded. The camp will conclude on March 25. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
